Personally I suffer from dentist phobia, I have since I was little. I get worked up days before my appointment, losing sleep and getting anxious and then on the day of the appointment I will feel sick and get a tight upsetting feeling in my stomach and will often have panic attacks in moments before I go in.
When I was contacted by Hypnosis Ninja I immediately though to trial their “fear of dental work” track.
The track is sent to your email and you can save it to iCloud which means you can play it directly from there. It is about 10 minutes long, you need to be sitting or lying comfortably (ie not being distracted by other things and definitely not driving), I used it as heading off to sleep, I found it help settle me really quickly as it has a meditative quality to it as well (they state that you can happily fall asleep while listening to it and it still works).
I listened to the track about 10 times, although they say it can work from listening to it once, and had a dentist appointment this week: I slept normally the night before and although I still got anxious and nervous before my appointment I did not have a panic attack and was much more calm than normal. So I would say it has helped.
Hypnosis Ninja offer all kinds of hypnosis help:
I’m off to download the “get to sleep fast” track to try out with Bethany! I hope there is something here for you to try x

Personally I have used Music Magpie a couple of times to make a few ££ from old dvds that we no longer watch and have never had any problems before. So when we decided to sell our Xbox and the games we thought “save the hassle” and sell through them again. They offered us £100 for the Xbox and £20 for the games.
I checked the Xbox worked, loaded it up and checked each game to make sure they were all fine. Then I reset the machine to get rid of all our accounts and settings, packaged it (really) well and waited in all day for collection (by their courier).
A few days later I receive an email from them saying the disk drive doesn’t work and we were offer a revised amount of £10!
I gave them a call and said I had tested it before posting and it was fine, if it no longer works it was damaged by their courier as was it not insured? To which they queried whether I had any proof it was working before I sent it? Had I video’d it working including the serial number of the Xbox? No I hadn’t, so my only option was to have them send the xbox back. To be fair it didn’t cost to have it returned, but I did have to wait in again for the courier.
I received the Xbox back and tested it myself, with both a DVD, a bluray and an Xbox game and it works perfectly fine.
Here it is running off the disk with no problems at all!
So my question is: was an error made by Music Magpie? Or is this some way to make extra money? If I had agreed to the revised figure I would have had £90 less and they would have a fully functioning Xbox!!
So just a warning to use this company at your peril, I cannot be sure whether they were trying it on or whether this was a mistake, but I would recommend my followers again using Music Magpie but if you do; always keep a record of your devises working before you send them off!
What do you think? Were they trying to scam me, or was it an honest mistake? Have you had any experience with Music Magpie?
I was sent this Carry Potty from Bizziebaby to try and test it and I'm really impress with it. Having said that, I have just newly potty trained samuel but going out and about can be a nightmare if he gets accident since he can't hold that that long yet when it comes to searching for a toilet.
This is why I'm so excited to try and test this because this is what I needed. I can just carry this in the car and we can use this anywhere. This means that samuel can also bring this in the nursery. When samuel saw this, he immediately fell Inlove with its design that he used it straight away. He also very excited to Carry it. It's definitely the new solution to potty training.
It makes potty training exciting and fun. It has a beautiful design and the seat we're comfy which is just perfect for samuel. It also has a Non slip feet which is safe to use in any surface. The handle makes it easy to carry everywhere with leak proof and has a secure mechanism.
I'm impress with the quality and design of this potty that I would definitely recommend it. My son loves it and so do I. No more running to find a good toilet when my little one can't hold anymore. It's very convenient and perfect for travelling. It's a very good value of money.
Disclosure: I was sent this Carry Potty for the purpose of testing it. However, my thoughts and opinion are all mine including pictures and video.
As I have already mentioned, my husband and I are off to Florida for 10 days, child free! for our 10th wedding anniversary. One of the attractions we have booked and the one I am most looking forward to is Discovery Cove. We will be swimming with dolphins and tropical fish and relaxing on a lazy river, sun bathing on the beach. I honestly cannot wait!
But what I needed for the trip was a camera which could go in the water. We didn’t want to pay out for an expensive top branded camera, which would risk being stolen while we were there, we wanted a slightly cheaper version (but still good quality). I’ve mentioned a few times that my daughter has always been a terrible sleeper. She didn’t sleep through the night until she was 2 and a half (and by “through the night” I mean from my bedtime until morning, I’m not talking 12 hours) and even then it wasn’t very often that she would actually go all night.
She is now 8 and once she’s asleep she’s fine, but getting her to go to sleep can be almost impossible, more often than not she’s going to sleep in our bed. I have tried so many different techniques that I thought I would share them with you, in the hope that one of them works for you.
- Sleepy stories; I love these! They are special stories with hypnotic suggestive phrases to help you fall asleep. They worked for a while with bethany and she still uses them, but it doesn’t work every day.
- Lavender sleep spray; encourages relaxation and a soothing environment for sleep.
- Projection light; these project stars onto the ceiling. It gives you something to look at and distract your busy mind from thinking thinking thinking!
- Massage; I attended a local back massage course and learnt some techniques to soothe and encourage sleep.
- Breathing techniques; I found an article online which described breathing techniques for bethany to try. So far she has refused to try them.
- We even went to far as to buy a new mattress and new pillow for her.
I asked some fellow bloggers for further ideas to try and these were suggested:
Hopefully something works soon, as poor bethany is often still awake when I go up to bed and that is really not enough sleep for an 8 year old!
Eps and I wanted a photographer to do some joint head shots for us to use on our blog, I went to school with Darren of Darren Gritton Photography and approached him to see if he would help us out.
There are lots of photographers around to choose from, the best idea when picking someone is to look through their portfolio.
Darren has a studio in Steyning where you can get your photos taken or he can come to you or on location, really flexible which is nice.
He has recently done the most stunning wedding photo shoot in London. Really it’s worth following him on Instagram or Facebook just to see the beautiful photos.
Eps and I were a bit nervous, but Darren soon put us at ease and we really enjoyed strutting some different poses. He was really patient with us when we suggested different things to try!
We came up with some ideas we wanted to try:
These photos were along the lines of “mates hanging out”
We wanted some photos to show us product reviewing, since that is the main aim of our blog.
The final images we had done were of my pole fitness. It is very difficult to get good photos on a pole, I think both Darren and I did very well!
We are really pleased with our photos, which do you like best?!
