I was shown this tip by a wonderful friend and it is so easy! I am the worst at eyeliner and if I can do it anyone can!
Start by doing a normal eye outline, I like the Avon Glimmerstick in Cosmic Brown, but tbh any eyeliner which works for you is fine.
Take a Kirby grip/bobby pin/hair clip. You know the ones, with the little V at the end.
Then colour the bobby pin V with a felt tip style eyeliner, again I like the Avon one but any will do. Then press the V on to the corner of your eye so the straight part goes up from your bottom eyelid line and the top of the V goes towards the upper eyelid line.
It will leave a little stencil of the V on the corner of the eye which you then colour in to make the perfect wing.

My hair is naturally straight so a bit of curling wand can give it a volume and style sometimes. It’s my first time to try xtava brand. It comes on it own packaging which looks presentable and would make a great gift.
The pack content included a travelling bag, heat resistant glove to protect your skin from getting burn. Everything you need to know is in the user manual. The wand or barrel appeared to be a bit thick compare to other curling wand. This is the only thing I can fault because it’s difficult to reach the back of your hair especially if you have a short length.
You can turn it on & off at the middle button and you can control the temperature with the left and right arrow button. The temperature does heat up quickly. It does provide a good quality of curl which is nice. I thought it’s a good value of money for its price of £20 at Amazon ( price at time of this review ) I’m pleased with this product and would definitely recommend it. Check out my video review on YouTube.
Disclaimer : I was sent the xtava curling wand for the purpose of this review. However, all thoughts and opinion are my own.
While I was in the philippines I was sent product to try and test. Vitapacks sent me a set of beauty product which includes soap, lotion, face mask and mega white supplement. While it is a big thing in the UK to use fake tan and try to brown your skin more, in the Philippines it is popular to have pale skin and less tan, so you get whitening products instead of tanning products.
The soap is 8 in 1 which has anti-aging, anti-blemish and many more. What I love about this soap is that it doesn’t melt very easily and it doesn’t dry up my skin compare to other whitening product I have tried before. Some whitening soap is a bit strong and does sting on my face but this one is gently and smells nice too. My face has got few pimples after I came back from my holiday and they slowly disappear after using the soap. I’m pleased with the result because it even Out the dark tan lines I got from wearing my eye glasses.
The lotion smells nice and has a lovely texture. It’s not thick or heavy, it just feels perfect when applied on my skin. I feel like it moisturises my skin and evens out the tan lines patch area that I have such as my wrist watch mark which is slowly fading. I love this lotion, it’s one of the best whitening I have ever tried.
The face mask is so amazing. It feels luxurious on the skin and makes it feeling softer and nice to touch. It’s so refreshing once applied and makes my skin looking fresh after using it.
The supplement seems effective as few people notice that I’m glowing and complimented me. Looking at my before and after photo, I can definitely see some difference and changes. My skin appeared brighter and more looking good compare to the tired and dull looking one before trying them all. I’m really pleased with the result and I would definitely recommend them if you want to use them not just because of the lightening reason but also to even out your skin tone and have a bit of glow. What I love about this product is also doesn’t irritate my skin or it’s not harsh compare to other whitening brand I have tried in the past. It won’t give you an instant whitening effect but you can definitely see the difference after using them.
Disclaimer: Vitapacks set of product was sent to me for the purpose of this review but this does not not affect my thoughts and opinion after testing them. I’m only sharing my experience after trying them but bear in mind that everyone has a different reaction on every products.
Ok we all know about “man flu”, how at the smallest sniffle the guys are meant to lie on the sofa in a grumbling, feeling sorry for themselves mess (which just for the record my hubby doesn’t do this, he is actually pretty female in his reaction to a cold) so let me explain the mummy cold: no staying in bed late, no sitting on the sofa watching to all day and no rest, we have to suck it up and get on with it. The school run must still be done, everyone still needs feeding and the housework will only go a few hours without being done.
My temperature is well over 38, my nose won’t stop running, my head throbs with every blink and I am exhausted.
What an amazing time for Coldzyme to send me their product which prevents the common cold (if you start using it soon enough) or shortens the duration of your cold. It is a mouth spray, 2 squirts to the back of the throat (it doesn’t taste terrible actually) which apparently coats the lining of the throat and acts as a barrier preventing the cold virus from being with the human cells.
Unfortunately I think I got the sample too late to help me with this cold so I’ve asked my fellow blogger how they treat their colds:
- Sophia from Tattooed Tealady suggests boiled water with ginger, lemon and honey. Which sounds lush to me!
- Laura from five little doves suggests Vicks on the feet with socks over. I’ve tried this before and it never works for me but does for the kids, weird!
- Sinead suggests Chai Tea, not something I’ve tried, but apparently is full of cold busting spices.
- I love the idea of this Elderberry cough syrup from bluebearwood
- Alice from Living with a Jude recommends rooibos, peppermint or ginger tea and a steaming bowl with peppermint in to clear the sinuses.
I shall report back as to whether the Coldzyme helps clear it quickly, but in the mean time I will go rest and recuperate!
*coldzyme was provided free for trial, but I was not required to write about it I chose to of my own doing.
Available as sample atm, but will be available to buy soon from Avon I tested the new Lip Lacquer which is a new long lasting liquid lip colour, available in shine finish or matte.
It is described as never bleeds, never feathers and long lasting. So I decided to test it before I bought the full size!
Application was a bit fiddly from their sample pots, but it is lovely and smooth and has a fabulous shiny finish, it definitively didn’t bleed or feather. As far as long lasting goes check out my video here.
The colour definitely faded and the shiny was all gone, but there was still colour to my lips…even the next day (please excuse the no make up, bed hair look)!
As a busy mum I really don’t have time to faff around painting my nails and letting them dry and then 2 days later they are all chipped and look rubbish. That is until I discovered Jamberry Nail Wraps.
These nail wraps use heat and pressure to apply long lasting, pretty nail colours which don’t take long to apply, are ready to go straight away (no drying time) and don’t chip or fade. They last about 2 weeks and look as good they day you put them on as the day you take them off.
You can apply them using your hair dryer for the heat, but if you like the wraps and go on to use them more often I would really recommend buying their heater as it is so much better than a hair dryer.
If your nails are fairly flat then they are pretty easy to apply, mine are really curled so are harder to apply which is why I use the baggy method to stick the sides down well. I have done video to show you the baggy method, check it out here.
I would really recommend giving jamberry nails a try, if you contact a sales rep then they are often happy to send you a sample to try.

The products used were:
- Moringa Oil: I love Moringa Oil, check out its many benefits in my previous post.
- Mineral Powder: I don’t often use foundation of any kind, but if I do then I use Wikaniko Mineral Powder, which I’m not sure they make anymore, when I run out I will probably try the bare minerals powder.
- Avon Eyeliner: now this I use everyday without fail! It is my go to make up, always worn no matter what! I use Avon Glimmerstick Eyeliner is Cosmic Brown.
- Avon Mascara: I have tried many different mascaras, I find the 3D mascaras are too stringy it looks like spiders legs to me lol but I really like this Avon Super Extend Extreme mascara.
- Revolution Highlighter: I love the Revolution Strobe highlighter, it adds a shimmer to your cheekbones and makes your skin look youthful.
- Younique Lipgloss: I use a different lipstick everyday, one of my favourites is the Younique Lucrative lipgloss, I also adore the Younique lipstain. I’m sure you all know a Younique presentor!
